I am really quite enjoying choosing different products each day to wear and write about. It forces me to make use of more of the Make up that I have that might otherwise not get reached for as much as I would like. I can’t wait to run out of products to choose so I am forced to buy more! 😉
As I have mentioned before, I am a big benefit fan and went through quite a long phase of buying kits and sets from benefit. I store them in their own special suit case!
Today, I decided to go for World Famous Neautrals by Benefit. There are a few different sets in this range and the one I used is “Eyesnessa’s sexiest nudes ever” (£23.50).
It was really hard to capture the colours on camera but it contains four ultra creamy shadows, three of which are matte in Milk It – an ivory white colour, raincheck? – a deep plum colour perfect for contouring the eyelids and lining for a smouldering effect, Pause for applause – a gorgeous mid toned purple – pink and a super shimmer silver called Blingo. Accompanying this is two of Benefit’s creaseless creams in Holy Smoke – a smokey charcoal colour and Bikini-Tini, a sheer champagne nude. My thoughts on the creaseless creams are mixed because in the bigger pots they dry out far far too quickly and become unusable. They seem to last much better as a miniature and can be used as a shadow, a base or an eye liner so really versatile. This is probably a palette better suited to evening wear but there are no rules and I fancied a splash of colour today!
On my face I have used Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. I got this in a miniature size in a set I purchased. I wouldn’t buy it again because even the light/medium is far too dark for me so I have to lighten it with radiance balm (I don’t like things going to waste!). I also found today that my chin area looked almost bare of make up by mid afternoon. They have released a few new shades recently though.
I powdered my face with Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot (£12) which is currently on buy one get one half price in Boots. I love Soap and Glory Cosmetics so this is a good product for me and does what it sets out to do!
I used Benefit powderflage powder (£19.50) which is a light diffusing powder under eye concealer which is quite a unique product and can be applied using the mini fan brush that comes with it. It is a really light powder. Can you sense the theme of the week with the under eye brighteners!
For brows I have used a No 7 eyebrow pencil in dark brown, which is great because it comes with an eyebrow comb on one end.
I contoured using the Beauty UK Ultimate Contour Palette and finished this with I heart Make Up Blushing Hearts in Peachy Keen (£4.99) which is a baked shimmer brick type powder.
All finished off with a gorgeous lipstick from Make Up Revolution in Mystify (£1).
Thanks for reading! Hope you are enjoying my daily make up posts!
