I know I have been a little absent of late, and I won’t bore you with the details but I have decided to do a more regular post about what I am wearing on my face. My make up choices can really vary each day depending on how I am feeling and how much coverage I need.
I have been quite poorly of late so I have needed some extra colour in my cheeks and have taken to mixing some Benefit That Gal (£22.50, lasts for ages!) in with my foundation to give a more fresh faced look.
So, today after cleansing and mositerising my face with Benefit’s Triple Emulsion (£22.50 SPF 15), I have gone with Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening liquid foundation (there is a powder version too) in Champagne which is quite a yellow toned foundation (£26.50, SPF 25). I have mixed that with That Gal which is a radiance balm/highlighter which I feel just takes the yellowy edge away from the foundation and creates a fresh faced dewy look. I have gone with a great big swish of Benefit’s Fake Up Under eye brightening concealer in light (£18.50), essential for a Monday morning. On my eyes I am using Make Up Revolution I heart Chocolate pallette £7.99 and have used a matte base colour right up to my brown bone, a mid – tone brown across my lids and used a really deep brown in the crease for a smokey eye effect and lined my eyes with the same colour.
To finish my eyes, I used Browzings (£24.50) by benefit in Medium on my brows and lashings of mascara (Max Factor Masterpiece Transform , £10.99). (Excuse the hair!). Also if you go to boots, they are doing an gift with Purchase when you spend £15 on Max Factor products you get a gift worth £27 which includes a full size mascara, lip gloss and nail varnish!
For the rest of my face, I have lightly contoured using Make Up Revolution definition palette in Medium(£4.99), added a splash of colour with Daniel Sadlers water colour blush in flush (£14.50) topped with the blush colour in the definition palette and a hint of the highlighter powder across the tops of my cheeks.
