I have been a little blog absent of late for a few reasons really but I am back with a fab Beauty Box Review. Beauty Boxes are so popular within the bloggersphere and there’s always discussion over which brand provides the best value for money and the best selection of products. The cohorted box seems to be the most sought after box at the moment and after several months of people declaring their frustration at not being able to get their hands on one due to server issues , cohorted seemed to have resolved the issues. Luckily, I had paid for the July box way back in April when the May, June and July boxes were released.
The box took a little while to arrive – 13 days after the box was released. I would have expected a quicker delivery time given that the box was pre-paid several months ago.
Regardless though, Cohorted have delivered a superb box which a great selection. What I have come to realise with the cohorted boxes is that most of the products are old ranges / lines. This is not a problem at all, providing that the products are still good to use.
So here goes…
The box, as always is packaged in a classy black hand tied box. Inside was 4 premium products and a great selection too.
The overall worth of the box is £63.50 and for the price of £19.99 this is really great.
First up we have an on – trend nail polish by Nails Inc. Nails Inc London are a premium nail range and all of their products are named after places in London.
This varnish is a bright pillar box red which is a great colour for summer. This is worth £11. It has a matte finish which unfortuntely I have not had chance to try yet as I have a fresh gel colour on at the moment. I am not sure what I think about a matte polish – varnished nails should be super shiny right?
Next is probably my least favourite product in the box. A Gucci Guilty scented shower gel. Worth £7.50. I have nothing against scented shower gel of course, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase something like this. It smells nice and I am sure it will be a lovely addition to my shower when I get around to using it.
Also included is a large St Tropez Gradual Tan Firming Plus Lotion worth £20! Now I am really not a fake tan girl, never have been and never will. It is not something I have the time or inclination for and I am not a fan of the patchy ankles and hands. I figured as this has been included in the box, and is more of a moisterizer I will give it a go over the next few weeks and report back to you guys.
Finally – my favourite product is the Diego Dalla Palma Snow White and The Huntsman Palette.
I have to say, I have never heard of Diego Dalla Palma. This product has an Rrp of £25.00 however as this is last years product it can now be found for around £15 on sites such as feel unique.
This palette is so up my street with its nude tones and mixture of matte and shimmer colours. There are 6 good sized shadows which can be used for day and evening looks. A true red lipstick – I have never worn a red lipstick in my life but this is my chance! Also included is a fabulous dark eye pencil which will finish the look off just nicely.
Cohorted boxes are released on the 15th of each month for the next month and retail at £19.99 plus postage.
