Cohorted have done it again. Another amazing beauty box from Yorkshire based Beauty Box front runners. Cohorted launched their subscription box range in September, with the first set of boxes arriving with customers in November. It works on a month in hand rolling basis, so you pay on 1st of each month and receive the box the month after. There are several boxes to choose from with a range of prices including beauty boxes, hair care boxes and even fragrance boxes for those who like to try different scents. For me, the Black Edition Beauty Box was the one and I have not been disappointed.
In this months box there are 5 full size, high end items. The box is worth a whopping £125 and with a price tag of £35 this is a steal!!!
This months treats include two Nails Inc polishes in Chelsea Flower Show and Colville Mews.
This is a lovely juicy orange colour, great for the warmer months but also not too out of place with Christmas coming up. It is very thin and did require three layers just to get this coverage which you can see is still quite opaque.
Colville Mews is a beige shade perfect for any occasion. I do not often opt for bright colours, so this shade is a great staple shade for me add to my collection.
These are priced at £11, which I would never pay for a nail polish these days as I have come to the realisation that no matter how much you pay, you are lucky to get a few days chip free wear from them. I do like these colours though and am pleased to have them in my collection.
The Bare Minerals Instant Eye Reviver aims to help reduce the appearance of tired eyes.
This is a powder that melts in to a creamy consistency. I have not properly tried it yet, but I am looking forward to doing so and will let you know how it goes.
Next we have the Laura Mercier The Flawless Face Book Palette in Nude/Sand. This a perfect hand bag sized palette packed with everything you need for a flawless face.
This is worth £38.00 but I suspect this is now discontinued and can be bought for cheaper than this. Despite that though, it is a really nice palette and includes an SPF 20 Tinted Moisturiser, a mineral pressed powder and 3 concealers. This is a palette that I will definitely be using to cover those pesky chin blemishes and under eye darkness.
Last but not least, my favourite product of the box. not surprisingly, an eye shadow palette. I just love it! You can’t have too many eye shadows right?
The palette consists of 12 fabulous shades all neutral toned.
The Palette Contains:
- Uptown – A white shade ideal for use as a highlighter.
- District – A nude shade perfect to use as an all over base colour.
- City Hall – An ivory shade
- Urban – A very pale pastel purple.
- Rush Hour – A matte light brown.
- Plaza – A smoky grey.
- Downtown – A deep black shade perfect for a smoky eye.
- Industry – A shimmering grey with blue undertones.
- Metro – A shimmery brown shade ideal to use in the crease.
- Browntone – A deep chocolate brown.
- Hub – A shimmery dark gold shade.
- Facade – A matt black shade.
Each shade can be worn alone or blended together to create a multitude of looks.
An added bonus is the jet black eye pencil and the double ended brush. This palette is everything I want in an eye shadow palette.
I do feel really lucky to be able to try brands I may not necessarily be able to try without the Cohorted Subscription Box. It is pot luck with what you get, but so far I have not been disappointed and I am always eager to see what they can wow us with next time!
